My Podcasts

The Super Over Podcast

Podcasting has exploded in recent years and it is now a hugely important form of media that can reach an audience through their ears. On each of my overseas assignments I have had to produce a daily podcast, blending news from the sporting action, interviews with players and other relevant figures, plus shedding a light onto the sights and sounds of the local culture. Below are the podcast projects that I have created, contributed to or produced myself:

My latest podcast venture has seen me turn to Cricket and partner with two world class pro cricketers; JP Duminy of South Africa and Jemimah Rodrigues of India women. Two stars of the game come together to interview some of the best players in the world and shine a light on what it's actually like to be a pro player behind the scenes. We designed this podcast to be available in both video (YouTube) and audio (Spotify, iTunes) to satisfy the fanbase.

2. The one with Nicola McDermott - Australian High Jumper

This podcast was one that I created, researched and produced in the lead up  to the Rugby World Cup in Japan. I made a podcast with a colleague each day and it was a mix of action from the tournament mixed in with a taste of the culture, in the hope of educating the listeners. These cultural features included things like Samurai training, a Japanese Tea ceremony and checking out Sumo wrestling.

Planet Sport Football Africa

Airs on over 50 stations in 19 countries across Africa.

This podcast was all about keeping African football fans updated with what African players are doing across the continent and overseas. Myself and other journalists contribute to the show by interviewing some of the biggest names that have come from the continent, such as Wilfried Zaha, Odion Ighalo, Sadio Mane and Patson Daka.
